Joyful Designs®️Studio | It’s A Colorful Life Home Tour - 2021 Holiday Edition

Updated: Dec 10, 2021

Is it that time of year again - of merriment and mirth? Why, yes it is!

Welcome my friends - old and new. We were so thrilled when our friend the lovely Jewel of Jeweled Interiors and the Tour Host, Jennifer from Dimples and Tangles, were so gracious and kind to ask us to hop on the It’s A Colorful Life Home Tour - 2021 Holiday Edition.

Thanks so much for the hop on over to our 2021 Joyfully Christmas Blog Post on this tour. Hopefully you found us from our predecessors blog posts as we are the last in line for today, but there’s lots more the rest of the week so be sure to follow #itsacolorfullifetour on Instagram.

If you missed the reveal before mine, be sure to go back in the loop to see all the pretty Christmas decor that Kate of Speaking of DIY posted to her blog. And then close out the loop for the day by heading back to the start with the lovely host Jennifer Griffin from Dimples and Tangles.

Around these parts, we don’t think you can have an It’s A Colorful Life Tour without adding some Christmas cheer to the front door first. And that’s exactly where we focused our Christmas magic. Take a look:

This entryway had already been through a makeover last year around this time and this year the striking blue color and sunshine were begging for some Christmas decor. We happily obliged.

You can never go wrong with berries and a windowpane candle lit wreath. While we reused some items from last year’s Christmas, this is a new find we picked up at Home Depot this year.

Our cobalt blue doors were easily accessorized with gleaming gold, silver and red ribbons. The faux boxwood sentries are year round accessories that we can quickly add ribbon and ornaments to. The twinkle lights are battery operated.

We brought some of the good cheer indoors as well. Is it Christmas without a poinsetta or two or three or a few?! We grabbed several of these as well because the red is so striking against the blue and the graphic black and white floor.

Although our porch lights do most of the heavy lifting providing light in the evening, the candle light is always welcome in the winter months for the cozy element. This porch is the kind of southern porch I’ve always dreamed of so when we are finally settle here, we plan to make it really live like it should.

I also like adding a little table to porches to make them more useful. Closer to Christmas, I’ll add treats for the package delivery drivers and neighbors as a thank you.

The rug is actually from Ruggable and has really held up well for the last year on this porch.

Here she is in all her glory. We have a door that Santa definitely won’t miss.

Thank you all for hopping over to see our Christmas 2021 reveal as part of the It’s A Colorful Life Home Tour - 2021 Holiday Edition.

If you have and missed the beginning of the tour, head on over to Host Jennifer’s, of Dimples and Tangles, blog post. You are in for a fabulous treat!

The fun continues all week so be sure to follow along at the hashtag #itsacolorfullifetour.
